What Clients Say is the Hardest Thing About Living With a Chronic Illness

what is chronic illness

Check out my most recent Facebook Live Post where I discuss the number one thing clients say is the hardest about living with a chronic illness.

People living with chronic illness face many challenges, including unpredictability, social isolation, physical limitations and uncertainty about the future.

The number one comorbid condition with any chronic illness is depression, due to the the high level of stress and unpredictability that comes with any chronic condition.

Fear, inability to change and poor coping skills can lead to a vicious cycle of anxiety and depression.

I’m here to tell you it CAN get better.

In therapy we explore the skills you bring to the table that can be useful, your thoughts and beliefs about illness and your self and build on your support system, self care activities and that little voice inside your head that is saying ‘it’s got to get better than this…right?’

You can still achieve your dreams and live the life you imagined, it may just look a little different than you planned.

Please feel free to reach out to me, I may be able to help you!
